Hartford: 25 years a family of faith and hope

i think i am being cheated by my family or some other force, never been accepted or appreciated no matter how hard i try. So all they do is rob me blind for everything i have worked hard to build. i have been trying for so long just to keep sane. a black cloud of rain has been overhead and im tired of being treated like a fool. i have someone now ruining my credit, iv let it go on for years im looking for help in reasserting control in my personal assets. i know its not your problem but any assistance would be greatly appreiciated.

I am in a trust probate case now. My stepmother used a special power of appointment to remove 2 of my fathers children myself and my sister. My attorney made a serious error In not filing a opposition to a demure. He even filed an affidavit of fault. My stepmother forged my dads signature on multiple trusts. I had the known signatures compared to the unknown signatures looked at by a forensic document examiner and deemed 100% that the unknown compared to the known signatures were forged. My Father had 4 parcels of commercial property she sold and other properties, that have been in my family over 100 years. The damage she caused is at least 3 million. I really need a contingency lawyer to help. I have spent about 100 thousand so far. I have the case number an perfect file documents. Thank you

Im a adopted adult but as a child a special needs youth adopted 3 times and growing up my adopted mother told me every year about her will and to whom it was to go to upon her death. But when my mother was in her 80s my 2 nieces got together and basically tricked my mom into moving off her estate to nieces house (address unknown to me and my 2 little adopted sisters until mom had passed away at nieces house ,then they called and give me their address) and then niece brought in a new attorney not our family attorney and created a trust disinheriting us adopted kids of over being with the adopted family of over 33 years.I was looking for a attorney foe 12 years and was told by over 20 attorneys who said they could not help me but last year I finally found a lawyer who believed in me and took my case.Thank god I might get some well deserved justice on this matter.Ive put my personal life on hold concerning this matter for 12 years and if anyone ever reads what I just wrote I say to you do not ever give up,ever.Thank you for letting me share my story.

My nieces and there police officer husband tricked my elderly mother off her estate by using the next door neighbor which knew the police officer from years earlier and im developmentally disabled an adoptee my mom a former aircraft mechanic and a child advocate ,and after niece and her police officer husband moved mom off her estate ,they my niece brought in another lawyer ,not our family lawyer, and my bedridden mom with a heart condition they had her make up a new revocable trust making niece and her husband main beneficiaries therefore dis-inheriting us 3 adopted kids of 33 years after being with this adopted family . Over the last 12 years over 30 lawyers have refused to take my case and in the last 3 years ive spent my entire life savings of over $6,000.00 and still have not had not 1day in court . My final decree of adoption is vested with the jurisdiction under the Uniform Adoption Act . My dad told me he was a Government worker for 30 years at a Base and a WW2 & Korean war disabled veteran ,and that he was a millionaire because of good investments ,then he passed away . Me and my 2 little sisters did not know where our nieces kept our own other when the will was changed in the remaining last 2 years of our own mothers life. Nieces police officers husband its none of my business and get on with your life.

My two siblings and I are adopted. Our father was really ill and before he passed he explicitly told me what to expect from my grandparents will (his parents). His dad, my grandpa passed away a couple of years before my dad did so it is just my elderly grandma. Her daughter (my aunt) is a trustee I believe. My aunt is not to be trusted because she is reactive. I am wondering how I can protect what my dad would have inherited for me and my family? Do I get a lawyer?

When my grandmother died I was named in her Will. My family never told me what or how much she left me. I signed something when I was 17 and in shock from the grief. I never saw the will. Am I entitled to anything years later? How can I view the will?

I have an adult daughter who is divorced, lives over 3000 miles away. She just broke up with a man she was with for over 2 years and has been traumatized. Where she is living has now also become a very dangerous place. We are trying unto convince her to move closer yo family and in a safer area and she is not budging. Not sure how to help my adult daughter make positive life changing decisions without causing issues between us.

Thank you for an excellent article. I think going back to family meetings might help with our live-in adult son (27 years old). Has held health issues and also dropped college after 3 years. He is working and trying to decide his next step. It has been 5 years since college.

The South Windsor Chamber and the local community recently welcomed the All Faith Memorial Chapel Funeral Home.
